Tyche Institute is an independent non-profit research institute in Tallinn, Estonia. It researches verifiable evidence for automated action: how an action taken by an AI system or software agent can be shown, after the fact and to a third party, to have occurred under a stated authority and in a stated execution environment. Its work joins electronic identity and trust services under eIDAS, the European Digital Identity Wallet, remote attestation, and the accountability duties of the AI Act. It publishes open specifications, reference implementations, open datasets and peer-reviewed research, and contributes to open standardisation, including at the IETF. The institute carries out no commercial activity in the matters covered by the Register, represents no clients, and has no commercial interest in any cloud, compute or trust-service provider. Its interest in Union policy is scientific: that rules governing automated action can be verified in practice rather than assumed.
